It may seem intimidating to create your own centerpiece – but it doesn’t have to be! It’s really quite simple. In order to help you get started, we’ve rounded up our top 5 tips to help you create your own centerpiece.
First, consider the size of the table you’re working with. The size is going to dictate how much or how little space you have to work with. Remember, you’ll want your arrangement to be proportional to the size of the table.
In order to give your centerpieces some variety, try adding some objects such as berries, branches, or other fun objects. This will give your centerpieces a fun feel. Don’t forget to add other objects around your floral arrangement, too. Candles, décor, cool vases, table runners, picture frames, books, fancy baubles, and fruit are all great options to fill your table.
Don’t forget to add height to your arrangements. Flat tables, with almost no vertical presence, can be boring. Giving your centerpieces height will make the table interesting. Just be sure to take into consideration your guests and if they still can have a conversation without peering around your centerpiece.
Bring some attention to your centerpieces with creative lighting such as pin spots. What good is a center piece if your guests can't see it?
Most importantly, have fun with your design and think outside of the box. Remember, centerpieces can be created two days out from your event, so play around with your design until you find something that you love.Posted: Mon Jul 18th 2016 1:59pm 5 years ago
