undefinedWedding season is here! It’s an exciting time whether you are planning or attending a wedding or maybe a larger event. If you are an active Pinterest user, you may have already noticed some similar themes and trends when it comes to floral design and decor.

We’ve definitely noticed that some trends are re-emerging from last year, while there are some exciting new concepts, too. Here are some of our predictions of the 2016 floral trends:

Wild Aesthetic

Locally grown seasonal flowers will continue to top the wish list of style savvy and eco-conscious couples. These foraged, wild, and woodland aesthetic designs will be incorporated into couples that love farm to fresh fare and have a natural style.

Choose these flowers: Soft flowers with bright accents like tulips, calla lily, delphinium, and roses.

Lustre exudes a rich combination of metallic sheen and sparkle for the modern bride. With this theme, you’ll notice that metal is mixed in with the designs to give it a glamorous look and feel. Accessories such as sequins, glitter, and jewelry like trim will also be incorporated into a pallet of white, champagne, copper, silver, and rose gold.

Choose these flowers: Bold shapes and lines, like calla lily, ranunculus, tulip, carnation, stock, spray rose.

Whether you are going for a gorgeous garden style or a lavish affair, you can’t go wrong with a romantic theme. The romantic wedding theme is sophisticated and incorporates a lot of rich textures.

Choose these flowers: Gathered, grouped garden style with berries, succulents and textual foliages like a rose, dahlia, stock, and hypericum.
